For summer Krispy Kreme introduced two new products for their grocery seasonal line. Glazed Lemon Pie and Glazed Peach. These join the already popular Glazed Cherry, Glazed Chocolate and Glazed Apple pies.

My thoughts:
I had the opportunity to try out the new Glazed Lemon Pie and can I say YUM! It was like a lemon bar in a pie! A perfect blend of tart and sweet. For those of you who are fans of Lemon Pie I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to trying the Glazed Peach next since I love peaches.

i learned that it originally opened in 1937 to make and sell donuts to local grocery stores. soon after there were so many people requesting to buy the fresh hot donuts that they needed to punch a hole in the outside wall and started selling directly to the public.
