It's a Big World, Little Pig

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

In It's a Big World, Little Pig!, Poppy, the adorable, persistent, dreaming-big pig has a new adventure in store for her- the World Games ice skating championship in Paris!

Poppy is nervous about meeting so many new people in a new place. But, ever courageous and supported by her family (and best friend Emma, too!), Poppy embarks upon this exciting adventure head on. She meets a snowboarding Panda, a Maltese who skies, and two fellow skaters, a Crane and a Kangaroo.

Poppy begins to realize that although these animals look different, act different, and are from different places, they are all the same at heart. They all smile in the same language!

100% of Kristi's profits from It's a Big World, Little Pig! will benefit early childhood literacy programs supports by her Always Dream Foundation. This is an amazing contribution and I would encourage each and everyone of my readers to purchase this book. Not only do the profits benefit something that is so important in a young child's life but also has a wonderful storyline.

This book was something that my four year old son could really relate too. He started Preschool this year which was a huge step, but he also started two months late (he had to wait for an opening). He was very nervous and has had some bumpy road in adjusting and making new friends. When we read this book I could see his little eyes light up and he really took in that we all do smile in the same language.

It's a Big World, Little Pig! was released on March 6 and can be purchased on Amazon for $10.77.

This looks like a cute book! I think this book is applicable to many situations and many children. There are lots of new people/kids to meet at school, the park, and other events around town.

I have also always liked Kristi Yamaguchi.
