Holiday Gift Guide: Hold-On Handles Review

Sunday, October 30, 2011

Although it is second nature to many, the thought of taking multiple children to the store by myself raises my anxiety. Caroline is not quite walking yet but the amount of time she will sit in the buggy or the stroller is sometimes minimal.  This results in me having to carry her around the store and finish my shopping asap.  Almost always it results in me forgetting something!  Jaydon is five and he is all over the place when we go to the store.  As much as I go over the rules, there is always something that seems to catch his eye and distract him away from the buggy.  I have a feeling that once Caroline starts walking the same thing is going to happen.

I can't always leave the children at home while I go shopping and Jaydon is too big for a stroller. Therefore, I am sometimes left in a predicament just hoping and praying that we can get in and out of the store in a timely manner and with no mishaps.  Perhaps some of you can relate.  However, thanks to Greater Than One Kids my anxiety can be eased with their Hold-on Handles.

We recently got the opportunity to review a single handle set from the Bizzy Bug Collection in the ladybug print.  This product is one of a kind and truly lives up to Greater Than One Kids motto of helping moms "Conquer The Small Stuff".  It was bigger than I expected which was nice because older children can use it comfortably as well.  I liked that it was lightweight yet still durable.  I also liked that it was easy to take on and off a stroller which is great if you are in a hurry.  We all know that if a child is getting antsy and wanting to walk instead of ride in the stroller then they are going to have very little patience with trying to hookup complicated attachments.  The Hold-on Handles were designed by moms so it stands to reason that they would be anything but complicated!

About Hold on Handles:
Hold-on Handles are for children 18+ months and up to three children.  They are designed to keep children safe and within arms reach when walking with an adult.  Hold-on Handles come in single handle sets and double handle sets which is great for more than one child.  They can be used by hooking to a stroller, shopping cart or purse or walking independently with an adult.   All handles include an adjustable strap, a carabiner for hooking it to a stroller, quick release buckle for extra safety and a wrist strap for the adult. Prices range from $10.99 for a spare handle set to 27.99 for a double handle set.

Currently, two designs are available with multiple prints for each.  These include the Bizzy Bug Collection and the Ocean Odyssey Collection. Each design is bright, whimsy and simply fun looking.

Greater Than One Kids recently unveiled their latest line of Hold-on Handles at the ABC Kids Expo, the Zany Zoo Plush Collection.  These super cute plush handles come in two designs, a monkey and a panda.  These friendly animals serve as a reminder that although it is fun to play around, it is important to be tame in particular situations such as crossing the street or in crowded and busy areas.  These will be available for purchase November 30, 2011.

If  you are looking for a gift for a little one this holiday season that is fun, practical and aimed at keeping them safe, I highly recommend the Hold-on Handles by Greater Than One Kids.

These are cute and a great idea. Once my little guy gets older, I'll have to look into getting something like this.
