Dancing With The Stars:Dancing Off The Pounds
Holidays and weight gain, isn't it a wonderful thing. I know that not everyone gains weight, but it sure seems like I do through the holidays. Ofcourse we all know that after the holidays comes a fresh new year where we can set a New Years resolution. I know that it is said that most people do not stick to these so I am all for calling it a lifestyle change. To help start the new year out right, I recently had the opportunity to take a Sneak Peek at the new Dancing With The Stars:Dancing Off The Pounds. Now anyone who is a fan of this show, must own this workout dvd. I won't lie and say that it is easy, because it is a challenge but that it what we are looking for in a workout. My fourteen year old wanted to try her hand at this since she takes Hip Hop. She felt she could do it without any problems at all. Let me just say that the nextday she was sup sore from this workout, but she loved it! She is determined to learn how to move her hips the way they do on one of the moves. So she is going to continue to use this program since she is suppose to get at least 30 minutes of exercise other than her PE class at school.

My healthy eating tip would be to eat several smaller meals throughout the day. Pack them with plenty of protein, vegetables, and fruit and choose whole grains over bleached grain.

I buy a big gallon sized ziploc make a salad and put it in there. Before dinner (and sometimes for lunch) I get some salad out of the ziploc. It curbs my appetite.

I have lost 60 pounds by going on the no sugar,no flour diet! You can eat what you want as long as it does not contain sugar or flour.It works. Would love to win this to help with the last few pounds I need to lose.

Even if you wake up and think, "I'm not going to exercise this morning. Too tired." just wake your ass up--make yourself do it. It becomes much easier once you commit. Sometimes I sleep in clothes I'll work out in the next morning so I won't feel I wasted them :)

Buy fresh fruit, cut it up, put in containers in fridge to have on hand for snacks.

It is hard to exercise when you haven't done it in awhile. Just start off with 30 minutes of exercise everyday, reduce or eliminate sugary soda, and eat sensibly. It shouldn't take too long to see some results. vidomich(at)yahoo(dot)com
