Growing Up Organized: A Mom-To-Mom Guide
Since we are fast approaching the holidays, how about we discuss organization. Surely we aren't the only family in the world that has a disorganized house. The kids rooms are worse than any other part of the house. As I tend to say daily "Clean Your Room!" , it just doesn't seem to get done correctly. I also know that once the holidays arrive, if they haven't organized and clean their room it will literally be a disaster in the end.
One fact that I knew was true, but never really gave it much thought until I read Growing Up Organized: A Mom-to-Mom Guide is that we are not born with the knowledge to organize. This is something that we have to be taught. I suppose over the years that I have taught myself how to become extremely organized at work, but home is a much different situation. Little did I know that my disorganization issues were reflecting on my kids which is why they are really struggling with organization.
This book is fantastic and I have found so many useful tips that I can put into play in our daily lives. It covers everything from children's bedrooms to responsibility. Also there are forms and resources to help you throughout your journey and the easy to ready layout works great with my busy schedule. It really makes is possible to go back and reference a specific section should I need to.
Words From The Author (Lea Schneider):
Growing Up Organized: A Mom-to-Mom Guide is an amazing book that I just can't stop telling everyone about! Our family isn't cured of our clutter, but we are working on it one day at a time! So if you are looking for motivition or even help with getting started tips do check out this book! You will be glad you did!

I liked the organizing tip about coupons: Choose one home for your coupons. No more sticking them in this drawer, that drawer, in your purse and on the fridge with a magnet. One home only!
I need to do that.

Wow! I don't think many people would accuse me of being organized, but I saw in the 'Tips from Lea's House' section that I use a few of the same tricks! For example, I separate the different size and style of sheets in big plastic bags and baskets with the size clearly labelled. Makes me feel good to see an expert using the same ideas!

She suggests that you only clip coupons you know you will use. Don't waste time clipping everything. Then make your grocery list before pulling the coupons. Once you have a list, then pull only the coupons you need.
