The Big Brain Puzzle Book (Giveaway Closed)

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

The Big Brain Puzzle Book is a great book!  I never realized that puzzles could be so difficult, but fun at the same times.   The Big Brain Puzzle Book is filled, to the rim, with stimulating brainteasers and puzzles created by internationally-syndicated puzzle writer, Terry Stickels.

Alzheimer’s affects a lot of families and it really is hard to deal with a loved one losing their memories and eventually not even recognizing their own children.  I have watched my husbands grandmother go through the stages and it is so heartbreaking.  Did you know that every 70 seconds a person in America develops Alzheimer's Disease? Research has now shown that you can help decrease your chances by keeping the mind busy. The Big Brain Puzzle Book was created to promote brain health by offering an enjoyable and easy way to activate your brain long after the book’s release.

To read more about Alzheimer's, visit http://www.alz.org.  Knowing the 10 Warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease is vital to being diagnosed early and receiving the best help and care possible. Take a moment and read the 10 Warning signs and if you notice any relations, please seek a doctor for help..

I also wanted to mention that this  fall they are kicking off a Memory Walk.  You can walk for a cure by  joining a group that has already been started or you can start your own.   Their goal is to reach 30,000 teams and currently they have 28,184.

The Big Brain Memory Book can be purchased at Amazon.com

I hate being number one but somebody's got to do it. If I'm lucky comments are moderated and I'm not REALLY the first.

I want to win this book because I love puzzles of all sorts. I love how I can sit down and do one for a few minutes to take a break from other things but still engage my brain.

I admit it - I'm Old - chronologically, at least. Now my husband absolutely refuses to accept the fact. I don't want to "stagnate" though, so puzzles are a great "brain flexer". Right now, my brain needs some calisthenics.

Whenever I hear talk about Alzheimers it sort of gives me the push to 'exercise' my brain which they say may help stave off Alzheimers. This puzzle book is the perfect solution. Thanks

I hate alzheimer's disease. My papa has it and now the Aricept(a med that slows down the disease for about 2 years and then stops working)is not working and he is starting to get really mean. Last night he totally freaked out on my mother over the latest thing he couldn't find, it was bad. :( I worry for her, she is 70 and he is 81 and it's like taking care of a 2 yr. old. It's so weird that the emotion that is starting to come out in him is anger and agression. Me and my mom will be talking with the dr. again soon to see what to do next. I am writing a book here..lol. sorry for the long windedness.

I would love to win this book for my mom because her favorite thing to do is crosswords and puzzles so she would love this. TY for the opportunity!
