NatureBag offers hours of fun for outside play

Little boys love to explore all the cool things outside and that is one of the main reasons I was drawn to the Nature Bag. The minute the NatureBag arrived and I opened it up, my son's little eyes lit up and he wanted to go outside to explore so bad. Ofcourse the day that it arrived at our house, it was really cold and rainy, so we explored around the house to see what he could find. The first warm day we had, out we went with the NatureBag in hand. He spent what seemed like hours looking at everything with the magnifying glass. We had to look at leaves, aunts, bugs, rocks. Whatever we ran across really had to be inspected. I have included a little slide show of pictures with him exploring with his bag.

NatureBag was created by Sylvie de Sousa and Katharine Byers, two Vancouver mums with one vision in mind and that was to encourage kids to go outdoors more and to be able to explore the beautiful world around them. When producing the NatureBag, they were very conscious of leaving the smallest ecological footprint possible by using recycled, fairtrade and organic materials.

Inside the organic cotton, fairtrade nature bag you will find:
  • All Season Activity Booklet
  • 2 Leaf Viewers
  • 8 Color Cards
  • Recycled Notebook & Recycled Pencil
  • Soy Based Crayons
  • Hemp Twine
  • Organic Cotton Blindfold
  • Rubber Wood Magnifying Glass

The Children and Nature Network, the organization of which Richard Louv is a chairman, has released its 'Family Nature Club' initiative. NatureBage is working with the C&NN to encourage children and their families outside and is listed in the resources section for the Nature Club.

Also, another great thing about the NatureBag is at the moment, there is no increase in shipping costs if they ship to the US compared to within Canada.....$4 for 1 bag, $6 for 2 bags and free shipping on 3 or more (Canadian dollars).
